The Ligue was honored to be in attendance for the release of "Public-Private Partnerships: Unlocking the Potential for Enhanced Security", a terrific resource from the Confederation of European Security Services (CoESS), and to which the Ligue was honored to contribute. Showcasing best practices, the study demonstrates how collaboration between Law Enforcement Agencies and Private Security Companies (PSCs) strengthens overall security and societal resilience.

The report, presented at the 7th European Security Summit, addresses the challenges that hinder the effectiveness of PPPs and offers recommendations for stakeholders to overcome these barriers, implement key success criteria, and optimize their potential. The report includes the Ligue's checklist on Building an Effective Private Security Partnership, which details criteria considered by the Industry as relevant to evaluate the capacity of a PSC to enter into a partnership.

With the right legal frameworks, PSCs can support LEAs in a wide range of missions, freeing up public resources for more specialized law enforcement tasks. — Public-Private Partnerships: Unlocking the Potential for Enhanced Security

The report examines existing public-private security arrangements and calls on authorities to continue fostering these partnerships and to regard PSCs not as subordinates, but as essential partners in the security continuum.
